SAVING LIVES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Partnered with UCESCO Africa
AT A GLANCE
The Saving Lives Educational Program aims to provide medical education to high school students in the Kibera area of Nairobi, Kenya, Africa's largest informal settlement.
Our primary mission is to promote medical self-sufficiency by educating the students on first-aid and medical care. This will limit dependency of professional medical care which is not easily accessible or affordable.
The secondary mission is to educate the students in the health sciences and health professions. The aim is to excite and motivate the students to pursue a health career, which there is a huge shortage of in Kibera.
WHAT WE DO
WEEKLY ZOOM MEETINGS
We teach each school via zoom. Each week, different medical professionals present to the students. In the past, we have taught topics, including otolaryngology, neurology, and women's health.
DONATING SUPPLIES
Through donations, we are able to provide medical supplies, such as bandages, menstrual products, and gauze. We are also able to assist certain students with school tuition fees.
